Treaty Land acknowledgEment

We acknowledge with gratitude that our programs are delivered on Treaty 6 Territory, the homeland of the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 4. This land has been, since time immemorial, the traditional gathering place, travelling route, and home of many Nations, including the Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Dene, and Nakota Sioux.

Our work takes place in Edmonton and surrounding communities, within the traditional and ancestral territories of the peoples of Treaty 6 and the diverse homelands of the Métis Nation of Alberta. These lands are deeply connected to the histories, languages, and cultures of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples, whose enduring presence continues to enrich our communities.

We honor the resilience, wisdom, and contributions of Indigenous Peoples past, present, and future. In our work, we commit to building respectful relationships, learning from Indigenous ways of knowing, and contributing to reconciliation through action.
